Pilates is about being mindful as you work, and this class will help you to re-connect with your body through correct breathing techniques, increased postural awareness, and a wide range of strength and flexibility exercises. It is relaxing… but don’t be fooled into thinking it isn’t going to be hard work too!

Sarah at Body Reconnect combines her Physiotherapy and Pilates training to create a safe yet challenging class, in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

These classes are open to all experience levels, so please do come and try a class, even if you have never done Pilates before (in fact - ESPECIALLY if you have never tried Pilates before!). Finally, these classes welcome women AND men; so, no excuses - book in for a FREE trial class now

1-2-1 & 1-2-2

Pilates uses very specific and subtle movements and postural adjustments to activate weak muscles and lengthen tight muscles. This can be hard to achieve in a class set up, especially if you are new to Pilates, or are worried about your confidence in a class setting.

Body Reconnect recommends Pilates 1-2-1s to all Pilates beginners prior to joining a class,  but also for those with specific targets including improving pelvic floor strength, stretching and lengthening shortened muscles such as hamstrings, or working on strength of buttocks or abdominals.  

If you would like to share a 1-2-1- session with a partner / friend (1-2-2), then this can be a fun and economic alternative, and can help with commitment and accountability. Let’s not take this all TOO seriously and make sure we have plenty of giggles on the way to becoming a fitter, healthier and stronger YOU.

Sarah at Body Reconnect will carry out a postural assessment initially, and then combine this with your medical history and personal objectives to work through postures and exercises that are beneficial to your specific needs. This can be done from the comfort of your own home or at the FRESH gym.

Did you know, to maintain a basic level of health, children need to do at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day? How much exercise is your child currently doing?

Body Reconnect is pioneering Kids Pilates in Surrey, and offers specialist classes for 4-10 year olds, taking kids on a new and exciting adventure every week, where they learn about good postural habits and are encouraged to think about how their bodies move during different activities.

Classes are 30 - 40 minutes in duration and follow a specific theme using equipment such as therabands, hacky sacks and coloured markers, to encourage children to use their imagination and challenge their coordination, balance, strength and flexibility, as well as working along-side their peers to encourage team working and good communication.

Classes run during term time only.
